GENERALLY

GENERALLY

Our Firm traces its origins to when Terry Sanford left the United States Senate and went back to practicing law (not that he ever did only one thing at a time). Jim Holshouser joined the group later on.

Sanford was governor of North Carolina, a transforming president of Duke University and then a United States Senator. Holshouser was the first post-reconstruction Republican Governor of North Carolina and one of the most gentle, unassuming people you’d ever want to meet. More information about each is provided on their separate pages, linked below.

Today, Sanford Holshouser LLP continues their legacy and focuses on two practice areas: public finance and community and economic development. We’re proud of our history and excited for our future.
